Senator Wendy Davis Joins First Responders for National Night Out

Tarrant County, TX – This evening, Senator Wendy Davis will join neighbors, first responders and other civic leaders in neighborhoods across Tarrant County for the 29th Annual National Night Out.
First organized in 1984, National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness; generate support for and participation in local anticrime programs; strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back. Last year, over 37 million Americans participated in the annual event.
On Senator Davis’ schedule tonight are the following National Night Out neighborhood events:
• Stop Six – 813 Bunch Drive
• Arlington – 600 Flintwood Lane
• Glencrest – 2600 Timberline Drive
• Worth Heights – 3812 South Jones Road
• Fairmount – 1800 Washington Avenue
Every major first responder group in Tarrant County recently endorsed Senator Davis for re-election, including the Fort Worth Professional Firefighters Association, Arlington Professional Firefighters Association, Texas State Association of Firefighters, Fort Worth Police Officers Association, the Fort Worth Chapter of the National Latino Police Officers Association, Arlington Police Association, Tarrant County Combined Law Enforcement Association, and the statewide Combined Law Enforcement Associations of Texas, known as CLEAT.
